They Don’t Trust A Free Press?

So it has come to this: The President of the United States rejoices at the subversion of the country’s essential institution, a free press. If you repeat a lie often enough, no matter how outrageous, people will start to believe it.

All the more reason for media companies to invest in defending their own reputations and bolstering their credibility. Quality journalism is just part of the equation. Media companies can no longer assume the audience understands their role in free societies. Education is essential. Democracy, even in mature ones, can’t be taken for granted.
